Lately I’ve been feeling like my beauty bag is screaming for some new additions. This week, I was craving more than a few new eye shadows to expand my collection. Since the Urban Decay Naked Palette is nowhere to be found, I thought I would go on a search for some gorgeous new single pots of colour. After losing myself in makeup heaven at Holt Renfrew, Sephora and Shoppers Drug Mart, here’s a look at what I came back with.
1. Stila Eyeshadow in Kitten
With just a touch of pink, this eye shadow is the perfect shimmering nude. I love how the lush pigment opens up my eyes and keeps its colour throughout the day. It’s perfect to wear alone for a fresh look or to add to the inner corners and brow bone for little kick.
2. Bourjois Ombre a Paupieres Eyeshadow #13
This deep purple shade is packed with a delicate silver shimmer. Upon first glance at the pot the shimmer really stands out but once applied it’s much more subdued. This eye shadow is sultry to say the least and it’s my new go-to for creating a smokey eye.
3. Bobbi Brown Eye Shadow in Espresso
I was looking for a luxurious brown eyeshadow that could double as eyeliner and this is it. It’s silky and easy to use wet or dry. I like to dip a small angled brush in water or mix the shadow with a transforming potion like Urban Decay’s for the perfect deep liner effect.
